What Makes Cold Springs Events Stand Out

Cold Springs Events is in Paron, Arkansas, about half an hour outside of Little Rock. The venue has a modern white chapel with huge windows, a lakeside outdoor space, and a reception hall that keeps everything simple and clean.

A few details couples notice right away:

  • The chapel is full of natural light because of the tall glass walls
  • The outdoor space has a covered patio and sits with a view of the water
  • The reception hall can fit large guest lists but still feels open
  • The views of the lake and woods feel private and calm
  • On-site getting ready suites make the day easier

As a photographer, the light inside the chapel and the reflections off the lake during golden hour were some of my favorite parts of the day.

A Quick Story from Anne Katherine and Andrew’s Day

One of my favorite moments was when they shared their first look. It was such a sweet and intimate moment between the two of them. They each exchanged gifts and I thought that was such a sweet touch. She received a bible with her new last name engraved into it and he was given a custom box full of love letters and prayers from their time dating that Anne Katherine had written.

The venue made it possible to slow down and take that pause. There wasn’t any rush. Just space for them to take it all in.

How the Space Helped Tell Their Story

Anne Katherine and Andrew kept things classic. The chapel ceremony felt formal but not stiff. The reception felt warm, thanks to natural wood beams and open ceilings in the hall. Guests could step outside to the patio and watch the sun set over the lake.

The flow from ceremony to portraits to reception felt easy. No long drives. No downtime where guests were waiting around. Everyone stayed present.

Because Cold Springs Events has both indoor and outdoor spaces, the day didn’t hinge on the weather. Luckily they held their wedding in the spring and had beautiful weather.

When couples tour a venue like this, I always suggest asking:

A Note on Photography at Cold Springs Events

As an editorial wedding photographer, light and space matter most to me. The chapel’s glass walls gave plenty of natural light. The outdoor areas meant we didn’t have to leave the venue for portraits.

The clean design let the couple and their guests stand out in every frame. Nothing felt cluttered.

I loved having the chapel space as an option for portraits. It allowed a big variety in the couples photos that we were able to get without having to do a fully separate location or sacrificing light. They were bright, classic, timeless, and such a great bonus.
